What type of curl do you have?

Wavy Hair

Soft, less defined waves approximately 2″ wide. Hair becomes curlier with length.

If your curl pattern is on the looser end of the spectrum, your specific challenges may center around creating body and volume without weighing hair down.

Curly Hair

“Classic” curls approximately 1 to 1-1/2″ wide.

Often described as “classicly” curly, your wide curls have good definition, bounce and lots of volume. Occasionally two types of medium curls are found on one head, a bigger, looser curl mixed with tighter ringlets.

Tight Curls

A mixture of 1/2″ to 1″ wide curls throughout the hair.

With an overall pattern of small corkscrews, tightly curled hair tends to be full and densely packed, yet often fine in texture. Because it is susceptible to dryness and frizz if not cared for properly, it is vital when conditioning and styling to thoroughly condition with the proper type of nourishment.

Kinky Hair

Tiny ringlets of mostly “Z” shaped hair when stretched. The “Z” pattern can cause it to shrink up to 75% of the actual hair length.

Kinky hair is not coarse, but soft and very fine, there’s just a lot of it. It is also more fragile and thus more vulnerable to damage.

Deeply conditioning and treating kinky hair tenderly is vital to vibrant and healthy curls.
